What Makes Michelle Obama So Fashionable?

There certainly is a lot of talk about the first lady’s style.  So what is it, exactly, that makes Michelle Obama so darned fashionable?  People are even calling her the next Jackie O!  In this article I will break down what everyone is raving about, and how it is that Michelle Obama always looks so put-together and stylish.

I’ve looked at several photos of Michelle and I think I’ve found out exactly why Mrs. Obama looks so spectacular all the time. First, she is master of the art of keeping it simple.  Her look is always neat and sophisticated, but never too much.  From the hair, to the clothing, to the accessories.  Her look is put-together and chic, not overwhelming.  When she visited students at an elementary school, she wore simple sterling silver stud earrings and a simple silver watch.  This perfectly complimented her outfit, which featured a cardigan with a matching shell and an elaborate neckline.  Simple sense lead her to keep her neckline free of any additional accessories.

If Michelle is wearing a shirt with a lower, simpler neckline, she has been known to pair it with a matching sterling silver necklace that features multiple strands that falls just at the collarbone.  She frequently wears sterling silver stud earrings though, to match her wedding band and watch.  To replicate this look, you need not spend a ton of money, and simple stud earrings are something that every girl should have in her jewelry collection.  You can buy simple silver dome earrings, or studs that feature a knotted or celtic design.

In 2005, Michelle wore an outfit to the 36th NAACP Image Awards, that is as trendy today as it was back then.  She wore a beautiful flowing floral sheath dress with a criss-cross neckline.  Her accessories included only a pair of sterlng silver chandelier earrings with a little sparkle.  She wore no other accessories, so as to highlight the dress and the earrings.

At a June 2008 campaign stop, Mrs. Obama wore a simple, purple sheath dress by Chicago designer Maria Pinto. Her one accessory, a beautiful chunky strand of white pearls, which is another accessory that every girl absolutely must own, along with a simple pair of pearl stud earrings.

At the third presidential debate, Michelle wore a tight-fitting purple dress by designer Maria Pinto. Michelle is obviously partial to the color purple as it looks great with her skin tone.  Knowing which colors work best with your complexion is another thing that every girl should look into.  WIth her purple sheath, Michelle wore her now-famous pins and pearls – a long strand of white pearls intermixed with some funky-chunky fllower pins.

Michelle is a huge fan of the “bib necklace” or the “statement necklace” which was highlighted recently in Lucky Magazine.  Many big-name retailers like J. Crew are introducing these necklaces into their accessory lines.  A statement necklace is a necklace that is big and chunky and features many different elements — sometimes metal twigs, a pearl or crystal here and there, and it generally looks like a big bird’s nest.

First Lady Michelle Obama Does Her Best Barack Impression

Turns out everyone in President Obama’s family does an impression of him, usually at the dinner table. But the leader of the free world would rather gossip.

Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family — and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves — Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!”
