Stars died before 30


Many celebrities rose to prominence and said goodbye to the world at young ages when they were in the height of their career. Actor Heath Ledger died at the age of 28, actor Brad Renfro and rapper Tupac Shakur could not celebrate his 26th birthday, and many other stars died before their 30th birthdays.


Heath Ledger, 28

Australian actor Heath Ledger was found unconscious in his bed in his fourth floor loft apartment at 421 Broome Street on 22 January 2008. He was surrounded by bottles of prescription drugs. He died at the age of 28. At the time of his death, he completed about half of his work, playing Tony in Terry Gilliam’s film “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus“.


A few months prior to his death, the actor had finished his role as the Joker in “The Dark Knight”.


Aaliyah, 22

Aaliyah Dana Haughton was considered as one of the industry’s most promising female stars. Her debut album “Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number” received great attention from hip-hop heavyweights. At the age of 17, she released “One in a Million” and landed her first major film role in “Romeo Must Die” in 2000.


She died at the age of 22 in an airplane crash in the Bahamas after filming the music video for the single “Rock the Boat”.


Brad Renfro, 25

Brad Renfro was found dead at the age of 25 at a Los Angeles apartment on January 15, 2008. He died of a heroine overuse. The actor went to on star with Robert DeNiro, Kenvin Bacon, Brad Pitt, and Dustin Hoffman in the 1996 film “Sleepers”.


At the age of 11, Brad Renfro played the title role in “The Client”.


Tupac Shakur, 25

American rapper Tupac Shakur (or simply Pac) died of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest at the University Medical Center after being shot in the Las Vegas metropolitan area of Nevada. Pac was one of the best-selling music artists in the world with sales of over 75 million albums worldwide. In addition, he was a promising actor and social activist. He was named the 86th Greatest Artist of All Time by Rolling Stone Magazine.


Shakur’s entertainment career began in the early 1990s.


Janis Joplin, 27

Janis Joplin gained prominence in the late 1960s as the lead singer of Big Brother and the Holding Company. She truly became a solo artist singing folk music and rock. Joplin died of heroin overdose in 1970 in combination with the effects of alcohol. Joplin was cremated in the Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Mortuary in Los Angeles.


Joplin was ranked number 46 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time in 2004.


Jim Morrison, 27

Jim Morrison was best known as the lead singer of “The Doors” and one of the frontmen in rock music history. He died at the age of 27 in Paris.


He was ranked number 47 on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Singers of All Time”.
