Are you one of those website owners that has so much to offer to the online world yet find yourself in a rut with no customers or virtually no subscribers?

If you can relate to this scenario, then you are not alone. There are many online businesses and blogs that are published literally every day, and many of its owners share that exact same problem.

The good news is that one of the things you can do is to hire freelance copywriters and article writers to write your content for you. However, with the freelancing marketplace also saturated with writers and copywriters, sometimes, you may end up choosing one who cannot even write decently – and as such, you will suffer from poor content, defeating the very purpose of even hiring one of these freelancers.

These are the things that you should be looking for in a prospective service provider:

1. Affordability – Not everyone will offer you the same price, and while some may offer you a lower deal than others, this doesn’t necessarily mean that they are your best bet. Study each company carefully, and ask for writing samples so that you can gauge whether or not they are the best group to hire for your business.

2. Service Quality – You need to be assured that you are getting the best value for your money. Never scrimp on quality, as doing so will only be a waste of your time and money. The more features your prospective company offers, the better it probably will be.

3. Reliability – This is one of the most important key factors to look for in a company! The worst thing that could happen is to hire a company that can’t even deliver on time, or create content that’s too generic or doesn’t even fit into your creative brief. Make sure this is a company who cares for its clients and will make every effort to create content that is fully aligned with your own goals and objectives.

4. Check for testimonials – Sometimes, it is better to hear from past and present customers of that company as they may present you a more unbiased view of what it really is like. Remember to look for references and if you manage to get in contact with any of them, ask as many questions as necessary to get a full picture of the overall integrity of the company.

5. Extra features – Other factors to consider are customer service (eg. Is their staff competent and experienced in the work you will be requiring of them?) and portfolio. Look at the past works and see if they will work for you too. This is probably a good gauge of the service they will be offering you should you decide to hire them.

These are only some of the qualities to look out for. There are probably more or you could come up with some on your own, but these are all basic and should be looked for in every company, no matter what niche you are in.
