Filter internal Traffic with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
Filter internal Traffic with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
Filtering internal Traffic to your GA is important for data quality and keeping your GA usable for analysis. There are different methods of filtering Internal Traffic, but in this video we will discuss how do accomplish it with the help of Google Tag Manager. We will set a cookie identifying all internal traffic. Then we will read that cookie with a GTM Variable and use it to fill our custom Dimension.
In the end, we can build a filter in GA to exclude any users with that dimension.
