Festival of Lights 2010 in Berlin, Germany


The Germany’s Festival of Lights annually takes place in Berlin from the 14th to 25th October, and the sixth event of the light festival this year once again started on October 13th. To be specific, the striking features of the light festival this year in Berlin are presented via such colorful illumination of some popular spots as well as landmarks of the city as the Brandenburg Gate, Quadriga sculpture, the Victory Column, Radio Tower, Schloss Charlottenburg palace, the Victory Column, Radio Tower, Schloss Charlottenburg palace, the Berlin Cathedral Church, the Berlin Cathedral Church, the Unter den Linden Boulevard, the Berlin concert hall, Hauptbahnhof train station, along with the Oberbaumbruecke bridge across the river Spree. In addition, there are lots of anticipating events alongside this light festival including museums which keep opening during the night, beautiful impressive fireworks in the air, along with “light tours” round the city by means of a limousine or even hot-air balloons.

There will be 3D projections on the Berliner Dom, also known as the large Baroque cathedral in central Berlin, with a special twist. The German fashion designer, Wolfgang Joop, had an original idea to present 12 images from his most recent unique collection on this cathedral.
