Blackburn, Lancashire is a former mill town noted historically for its production of wool. Blackburn is 21 miles northwest of the city of Manchester.

Here you will be offered a guided tour through this magnificent Tudor style Castle, complete with magnificent banquet hall in dungeon. You will also find a monthly farmers market, which is not to be missed. A visit to Houghton tower is sure to make a fantastic day. Just be careful, they say it is haunted.
