Famous Attractions of Uttarakhand

Almora

Almora is a famous hill stations which is famous by the name of cultural hub of Uttarakhand. It lies in the Kumaon region and is surrounded by four hills, Shayahi Devi, Banari Devi, Kasar Devi and Katarnal, which are considered to be divine. Main attractions of Almora include its Museum and Deer Park.

Nainital

Nainital is a famous hill station of India which derived its name from the Naini Lake, constructed in eye shape. It is located in the center of town and is a famous attraction for visitors. Other important attractions include China Peak, Hanuman Garhi, Bhimtal, Naini Temple and Sat Tal.

Rishikesh

Jolly Grant airport is also located in Dehradun, which is the main airport to reach any tourist destination in Uttarakhand.

Mussoorie

Mussoorie is blessed with cool climate throughout the year and is an ideal hill resort. Main attractions of Mussoorie are Mussoorie Lake, Tibetan Temple, Municipal Gardens, Lake Mist and Lal Tibba. It also has a number of famous education institutions which attract students from all over India.

Haridwar

Haridwar is a famous pilgrimage destination located in Uttarakhand. It is also famous as the famous Kumbh Mela is organised here every after 12 years. Famous attractions of Haridwar are Har Ki Pauri, Chandi Devi Temple, Mansa Devi Temple, Maya Devi Temple, Daksha Mahadev Temple and Sati Kund.
